The following categories and programs are offered to adults and children:
Pre-Beginner (Level I) - Water Orientation and Exploration
Supported floating and kicking on front and back; water safety rules will be taught in this class.
Beginner I (Level II) - Primary Skills
Floating and kicking on front and back, rhythmic breathing, turning over, and combined stroke on front and back.
Beginner (Levels IIIa and IIIb) - Stroke Readiness
Fundamentals of front crawl with rhythmic breathing, back crawl, elementary backstroke, treading water, and diving from the side of the pool.
Advanced Beginner (Level IV) - Stroke Development
Introduction of the breast stroke and sidestroke, turns at the wall, and deep water bobbing.
Intermediate (Level V) - Stroke Refinement
Continued refinement of the front crawl, back crawl, elementary backstroke, breaststroke, and side stroke. Introduction of the butterfly, surface dives, and springboard diving.
Swimmer (Level VI) - Skill Proficiency
Development of maximum efficiency and endurance for strokes. Introduction of surface dives and flip turns.
Advanced Swimmer (Level VII)
Refine strokes learned in previous levels, develop spring board diving skills, and learn advanced rescue skills.
Private Lessons
Private lessons are available for adults and children.
Adult private lessons are given by the Pool Director and children’s private lessons are given by the instructing staff.
